NADEEM HASNAIN
Nadeem Hasnain is former Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Lucknow,Lucknow,India.He is also an editor of the international journal,The Eastern Anthropologist and heads a multi-disciplinary research organization, Centre for Social Action and Development(CSAD) devoted to research and advocacy of the disadvantaged sections of the society.
He has published a number of books and papers and presented research papers in national and international conferences and seminars.
A well known teacher, researcher and activist,he is also involved with mass media writing in popular magazines and newspapers in English,Hindi and Urdu language and participates in panel discussions on TV channels.
Formerly a ‘Fulbright Scholar in Residence’ and also visiting professor in USA,he is presently Senior Fellow of Indian Council of Social Science Research.
